<<Luce del mondo>> è
il titolo con il quale sta per essere pubblicato il libro che
raccoglie la conversazione di Benedetto XVI con il giornalista
e scrittore tedesco Peter Seewald.
Un piccolo estratto -
La sessualità
Concentrarsi solo sul profilattico vuol
dire banalizzare la sessualità, e questa banalizzazione
rappresenta proprio la pericolosa ragione per cui tante e tante
persone nella sessualità non vedono più l'espressione
del loro amore, ma soltanto una sorta di droga, che si somministrano
da sé. Perciò anche la lotta contro la banalizzazione
della sessualità è parte del grande sforzo affinché
la sessualità venga valutata positivamente e possa esercitare
il suo effetto positivo sull'essere umano nella sua totalità.
Vi possono essere singoli casi giustificati,
ad esempio quando una prostituta utilizza un profilattico,
e questo può essere il primo passo verso una moralizzazione,
un primo atto di responsabilità per sviluppare di nuovo
la consapevolezza del fatto che non tutto è permesso e
che non si può far tutto ciò che si vuole. Tuttavia,
questo non è il modo vero e proprio per vincere l'infezione
dell'Hiv. È veramente necessaria una umanizzazione della
sessualità.

to trivialise sexuality, and this trivialisation represents precisely
the dangerous reason why so many people do not see in sexuality
the expression of their love, but only a sort of drug, which
they administer to themselves. For this reason the very fight
against the trivialisation of sexuality is part of a great effort
to make sexuality valued positively so that it can exercise its
positive effect on human beings in their totality.

for example when a male prostitute uses a condom, and
this can be a first step towards morality, a first act of responsibility
towards the development of a new understanding of the fact that
not everything is permitted and that one cannot do everything
that one wants. Nonetheless, this is not the way to beat the
infection of HIV. Sexuality really needs to reflect the humanity
of man.

La sexualité
Se concentrer uniquement sur le préservatif veut dire
banaliser la sexualité, et cette banalisation représente
exactement la raison dangereuse pour laquelle autant de personnes
ne voient plus dans la sexualité l'expression de leur
amour, ma seulement une sorte de drogue, qu'on s'administre soi-même.
Donc même la lutte contre la banalisation de la sexualité
fait partie d'un grand effort afin que la sexualité devienne
appréciée positivement et puisse exercer son effet

Il y a des cas individuels qui sont justifiés, par exemple
quand un prostitué utilise un préservatif,
et ceci pourrait être le premier pas vers une moralisation,
un premier acte de responsabilité pour développer
de nouveau la compréhension du fait que tout n'est pas
permis et qu'on ne peut pas faire tout ce qu'on veut. Cependant,
ceci n'est pas la façon correcte de conquérir l'infection
du VIH. L'humanisation de la sexualité est vraiment nécessaire.
